After the DRB has approved your house plan we sign the Construction Agreement. At this time, we will have the approved DRB plans engineered and prepared for permitting; when the loan closes, we are ready to submit to the building department for a permit!
The 15% deposit will be due at this time. Most Banks, depending on your down payment requirement, will pay some portion of the 15% deposit. Any equity you have in your new home, i.e. down payment, is typically considered by the bank as part of your down payment toward the loan you are approved for, so please make sure to check with your financial institution.
While waiting on the permit from the Building Department, we will prepare the lot by doing some grading and preparation for the start of the project. Once the plans are approved, we will break ground on your new home!
